Session # 3 – Science

George Viebranz is the STEM education consultant for the SMART Consortium at ideastream. He has taught mathematics, science and educational technology at middle grades, high school and college levels. He served on the advisory team for the recent Ohio Science Standards, and is currently assisting in the state roll-out of science standards as a NE Regional Content Facilitator. Today George will walk you through the levels of cognitive demand that are being used for the development new science assessments and give a couple of examples of ways that technology and engineering design can be integrated into the science classroom.
